Handmade By Amanda: December 2010

Hi Y'all!

Being a designer and a creative spirit has always come naturally to me. My desire for more artistic endeavors grew as I aged. My latest creative journey has taken me to the classroom. I. teach. preschool. Yes, challenging, BUT so rewarding to be able to love on so many children & share in their creative energy for exploring their world.

I do have a BLA (Bachelors of Landscape Architecture). So I do have plenty years of technical training in art history, design principles, composition, lettering, hand drawn sketching, graphic design, botany, planting design, construction design, and lots more boring stuff... blah blah blah :-)

I enjoy giving handmade gifts and often received compliments over the years "you really should sell your creations"... well one day I said, why not? So in 2008, after the birth of my 2nd child, Handmade By Amanda was "born".

Only through my faith do I get through each day and plan for the future.
